Lots of wide dry plains today, with the Grand Canyon looming large in our imaginations.
As the land rises, we hit snow.
Colin is very exited about the petrified forest. I’m worried about getting stuck on the highway. The petrified forest park turns out to be closed due to snow. Colin says I looked ‘ecstatic’ at the news.’ I think it was more like relieved.
We did get to see some rock trees in the courtyard of the visitors’ centre.
What more is there to see, really?
